What district does CPES cover?
Our school has students from all over the “Holyland”, as well as surrounding area. Busing is provided by New Holstein School District busing company.
CPES invoices each member parish $3000 for each student in grades K-8 attending our school. Each parish has their own rate for what is charged for each student. If the family is not a member of one of the participating parishes there are scholarships and other means to assist with tuition costs. A student fee is billed to the parent. Parents are responsible for this fee which is payable to CPES. The student fees for the 2007-2008 school year are: $675 for 1st student, $550 for 2nd student, and $525 for the 3rd student in each family.
Where will my child go to school?
CPES currently runs out of two campuses. The Johnsburg school building houses the 4-year old Preschool through the third grade. The St. Cloud building has the 4th through 8th grades.
How involved can I be in my child's education?
Parent participation is welcome and sometimes needed. The Home & School committee provides hot lunch twice a week and they always look for volunteers to help serve. The playground supervision is on a rotating schedule of parents. Designated “Room Parents” help the teachers during special events. Parents are always welcome to participate in daily classroom activities. Serving on committees and the school board is a great way to be involved in the decision making of CPES. The most important component to the success and long existence of CPES is the interest, commitment, dedication, involvement and support of parents and even grandparents. Parishioners and community members are also encouraged to take part in of our young people's education.
What type of fund raisers does the school do?
Home and School's largest fund raiser for the year is the Pancake Breakfast. It is held annually, on the first Sunday in October, in the Johnsburg School hall. As part of the Breakfast the drawing for the Big Ticket Raffle takes place at noon. The 2009 breakfast brought in a profit of $3,655.79 and a matching funds donation from the Catholic Knights of $500.00, which resulted in a total profit of $4,155.79. We are very Thankful for the financial support we receive from the Catholic Knights. For information about the breakfast contact any Home & School Committee member.
Other types of fund raising include the annual alumni mailing, the Spell-a-thon, fall magazine drive and other specialized events throughout the year.
CPES hosts a Annual Golf Outing in September. Please see the page for the Golf Outing on this website.
Packer Vending is a great source of income for our school. CPES parents and friends work a vending booth at Lambeau Field at each home game. Parents are on a rotating schedule and typically work at one or two games a season. The revenue generated from the vending booth raise from $13000 - $17000 each year. This is a huge help in covering expenses and helping with tuition. Volunteers for Packer vending, please call the office for contact information.
Does CPES offer any after school programs?
Yes, we are very excited to announce the implementation of our new After School Care Program. CPES students in kindergarten through 5th grade may participate in the program. This will be held in the elementary school building at Johnsburg. A licensed teacher will provide activities both for fun and learning for students who participate in the program. To learn more about the After School Care Program or to enroll your children, please contact the school office.
Does my family have to be Catholic to attend CPES?
No, CPES does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, religion, political persuasion, national origin or ancestry.
I'd like to help support CPES. What can I do?
We welcome participation on our committees and school board. Contact any parent or staff member to find out more information.
Your money donations are also gratefully accepted. One way to help would be to fund part or all of a child's tuition for those that would like to attend parochial school but can't simply due to lack of funds. To “ Fund A Child's Education ” please click on the link here to email our school office with your inquiry or pledge. You can also call the office for more information. Thank you for your support.
