Our History

In April 1969, the parishes of St. Mary's, Marytown; St. John the Baptist, Johnsburg; Holy Cross, Mt. Calvary ; and St. Cloud , St. Cloud consolidated their parish schools into one school system. It was named the Consolidated Parochial Elementary School (CPES). St. Anna Parish came into the consolidation from 1970 – 1985 .  CPES is the longest, continuously operating, consolidated parochial school system in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

The Consolidated Parochial Elementary School offers a strong academic program in addition to teaching students about the Catholic Faith, training them to take their place in their faith communities by being involved in liturgies, prayers and the liturgical and faith life of the church. The school takes advantage of small class sizes to accent the personal interaction between students, teachers and parents as well as their faith communities. The curriculum in all subject areas is aligned to the state, national and Milwaukee Archdiocese standards that benchmark what students should know and be able to do in order to prepare them for the twenty-first century and beyond.

CPES is a family-orientated school that realizes its existence is due to the vision and support of past generations and is committed to its existence in the future by religious, educational and social actions as well as personal sacrifices and creativity.

The Consolidated Parochial School has a school board comprised of members from the three consolidated member parishes: St. Mary's, Marytown; St. John the Baptist, Johnsburg; and St. Isidore the Farmer Parish which includes St. Cloud, St. Cloud; and Holy Cross, Mt. Calvary and St. Joseph, St. Joe. In addition to parish representatives, the school administrator and the two pastors serve on the school board.

The committees of CPES are: Development, Fund-Raising, Finance, Home & School, Public Relations, Recruitment, Education and Appreciation Dinner. Parents, staff and community members serve on these committees.
